The Cotswolds is a beautiful area in south-central and southwest England, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and covering 787 square miles. The area has many small towns and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Chipping Norton and Castle Combe, and is bordered by larger urban towns such as Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Swindon. Thus obviously the Cotswolds is a vast area to explore, but is a great place to visit to take in some of England's most amazing countryside especially for hiking and walking enthusiasts. If you're looking for extra excitement, the Cotswolds Distillery, Tewkesbury Abbey, Cotswolds Wildlife Park and The Royal Gardens at Highgrove are popular tourist attractions.
